The truth? People can't handle the truth.
The truth is most of us are going to die very soon.
The truth is the TV's, the computers, the cars, the trucks, the planes, the food, the water, the health, the clothes, the a/c, the microwave, the hot showers, the dinners out, the very veneer of civilization is about to be ripped assunder!
People can't handle that. We have become like babies - fat squisshie blobs that need to be fed and told everything will be all right.
We will have to be put through the fire to be of any use again - "God must char the wood before he can write with it..."
If you're planning for a retirement, watching your kids grow up - get married, get a job, buy a home, raise a family, or anything that this generation has come to know as modern life is about to end. Many will read this and interpret it as the ramblings of another nutty survivalist, branch Davidian, occultist, anarchist, prepper, or whatever the latest talk show host wants to call people who tell the truth. It's a long time coming, the end of the world, and I don't mean the end of the planet, but the end of Western civilization. We refuse to see, to learn from our mistakes, to wise up and live as peaceful intelligent spiritual beings - our potential, but instead we choose to consume ourselves, to take the Kalimar, the kiva of death and bring about the annilation of all order and judgement.
Our cup runneth over in blood, and we will drink a bitter wine indeed.
I can handle that truth, and that is why I'm busy trying to rethink the way I live my life, and striving to be the most ethical and useful I can.
ReplyDeleteHistory is replete with people who lived meaningful lives however short or long.
If ours is to be short, then let it be said of us that we lived wisely and well.
